I was skeptical that a $118 subwoofer could deliver the bottom end I was looking for but I couldn't be happier. In my office room I have a 30" Cinema Display connected to my Mac and often enjoy watching videos and listening to music while doing other things. Although my Hardon Kardon HK195 computer speakers are super at reproducing high and mid-high frequencies, there is no bass to be had. I knew a sub would be the answer and after reviewing several, decided to try the PSW-10 as it was only $118 and would fit nicely under my work station. Also I chose a downward firing sub because the room is about 12' by 12' and a front firing sub would not have the distance needed to develop the long sound waves that a sub is designed to deliver. I have a free floating floor which excites with a downward firing sub, enhancing the feeling of deep bass. This sub worked exactly like I hoped it would, right out of the box. Some say a sub needs to be broken in. If that's accurate, then my satisfaction can only increase with time. I'm enjoying my music and videos so much more now. Thanks Goldwood!
